Some big news going into the future

Published Categorised as Latest News

This Summer 2025 will be Aaron’s last camp here, as shortly afterwards in August he will be moving across the world to the Christian Community in Spring Valley, USA, to continue his wonderful work there. This year will be Aarons’ 16th camp in England. There is a lovely, passionate team in place to continue looking after the camps into the future.

Some possible changes starting in 2026

We have found that over the last few years, the dynamic of the camp has slowly evolved. Through discussions with helpers (including young helpers that have relatively recently been older children participants) and the leadership team past and present, we think that the children would benefit from a different age range at camp.  We are proposing to have a children’s camp for 8-13 year olds, and a youth camp (Wild Youth) for 14+ year olds. They will not run concurrently, but details are otherwise still being worked out at the moment. We wanted to let you know this ahead of time, as it is a big change, so that you and your families can think about this when applying this year already.

Kitchen needs this year

With this summer in mind, we are looking for someone to help in the kitchen. We have cook Cordelia with a wealth of experience, who has been there since the start of camps, and she will need another responsible person to help plan and cook meals this summer. If you are interested in helping anchor the cooking team on camp, please send us an email with a little bit about yourself, what experience you have cooking, and why you think you would be excellent for the role, and we will get back to you. If you know of someone from the wider community who might fit the role and be interested, please pass the information on to them too. CONTACT US
